Webasto, the reliable partner for climate management at sea, is presenting new products in the marine sector at METS – the world's biggest marine equipment show – from 14 to 16 November 2017 in Amsterdam. At booth 603/703 in hall 12 Webasto is presenting its Marine Shading Solutions sunlight protection system for the first time. The new sunlight protector for boats combines the benefits of simple operation, long service life and adaptability to the corresponding boat style. It is available in two equipment variants. Further highlights at the booth are the new V64 T and V77 T chiller units, which expand upon the performance spectrum of the successful V series.

V series product range expanded with higher performance chiller air-conditioning units
These units feature an intelligent, variable speed compressor controller and offer high performance and reliability, even under warm seawater conditions. Alongside the established V50 M model, two further models are also available: the V64 T and the V77 T. These deliver a cooling capacity ranging from 64,000 to 77,000 BTU/h, which means that larger boats can also be fitted with V series units. The air conditioning systems are light, compact and very quiet in operation. Furthermore, they are extremely efficient and their amperage draw can be manually limited if necessary. They can be operated as standalone units or several units can be connected in parallel, thereby further increasing the overall cooling performance considerably. Like all other BlueCool air-conditioning units, the new models can also be intuitively controlled via the touch-screen panel. They can also be connected to the Webasto BlueCool Expert diagnosis and set up tool.

Marine Shading Solutions provide shade
Over ten years of experience in the area of marine roof systems flowed into the development of the new Marine Shading Solutions. The two models Folding Shade 2500 and Rolling Shade 2500 therefore offer all of the benefits that characterize optimum sunlight protection on the water: easy operation at the press of a button, durability and the ability to adapt to the corresponding styling of the boat with a width of up to 2,500 mm. The Rolling Shade model works according to the “push and roll” principle, while the Folding Shade model adapts to deliver the required sunlight protection with “push and fold” operation. The Shading Solutions are suitable for use on the aft deck or flying bridge and are available from spring 2018.

New heaters in the 12 and 15 kW class
At the marine show, Webasto is presenting the diesel-powered Thermo Top Pro 120 and Thermo Top Pro 150 heating solutions, which feature an innovative burner concept and a heat output of between 12 and 15 kW. The novel atomizing burner is extremely compact and particularly quiet in operation. This allowed the design of the new Thermo Top Pro units to be optimized for easier installation and simpler service. The units are furthermore equipped with a diagnostic function and an intelligent safety system.

Refrigerators, ice boxes and cool boxes – for optimum integration
Webasto is exhibiting several Isotemp cooling units for marine applications. These robust units are available in various sizes and designs. The built-in top-loading BI 16 refrigerator, Isotherm BI 36 Built-In, Isotherm DR30 drawer and Isotherm TB 13 travel cooling box are new. All of the units were specifically designed for optimum space management. They are characterized by their high degree of energy efficiency and intelligent, power-saving control technology. The cooling units are available as top-loading refrigerators, classic refrigerators or as convenient drawer opening units. Their performance ensures reliable cooling, even under tropical conditions. Some models can also be used as deep freezers. Thanks to the built-in BI 29 Icemaker, sailors won’t even miss their ice! This ice maker from Webasto has a capacity of up to four kilograms a day and, as a result of its low profile, can be stored in drawers or beneath seats.
