Franz-Josef Kortüm (67) has been elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Webasto SE. Effective July 26 2018, the Board of the automotive supplier appointed him as successor to Werner Baier (74). The great-grandson of company founder Wilhelm Baier chaired the Supervisory Board for some 23 years and, as Deputy Chairman, continues to represent the interests of the owners of Webasto on the Supervisory Board. The company has been family-owned since its foundation in 1901.

 

Franz-Josef Kortüm

 

   Franz-Josef Kortüm has been closely associated with Webasto for many years. He joined the automotive supplier in Stockdorf as member of the Management Board in 1994 and was appointed Chairman of the Management Board in 1999. Following the handover of the company’s management to the current Chairman, Dr. Holger Engelmann, Kortüm transferred to the Supervisory Board of Webasto SE at the beginning of 2013. He remained Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board until mid-2018.

 

Werner Baier

 

   The Supervisory Board of Webasto SE is composed as follows: Franz-Josef Kortüm (Chairman), Werner Baier (Deputy Chairman), Gerhard Mey, Claus Möhlenkamp and employee representatives Reinhard Bersch and Mirco Eschrich.
