Heating and air conditioning systems for a year round ideal climate on board

Cruising on the water is always a very special experience: the fresh breeze in your lungs and surrounded by nature – it's a feeling of vastness and freedom. With its diverse range of heating, air conditioning and marine roof systems, Webasto also ensures a consistent feel-good atmosphere in the cabin too—all-year round. Under the motto "Extending the Season", the company will be exhibiting its heating and air conditioning solutions for all requirements in hall 10, booth G 59, at the boot 2018 exhibition in Düsseldorf which takes place from 20 to 28 January 2018. Using a cross-sectioned model of a boat, the installation options are presented in a clear and transparent manner.

Proven heating systems for every requirement
Webasto offers both air and water heaters, depending upon the size of the boat and the heating requirements. For instance, the Air Top 2000 STC air heater delivers the desired warmth quickly and quietly, thanks to its fast warm-up time and effective power output, for the interior of boats of up to eight meters in length. The units are easily retrofitted thanks to their installation kit. For larger boats we recommend the Air Top Evo 40 and 55 units which have a heat output of 4 or 5.5 kW. Because the intelligent blower speed control automatically slows down once the pre-set temperature has been reached, they consume less electricity despite their higher heat output. While the compact Air Top 2000 STC solely works on 12 V, the Air Top Evo models are available for either 12 V or 24 V power supplies.

The location-independent ThermoCall App allows you to turn on all three of these heaters in advance. This means that boaters will return to a comfortingly warm interior on their return from their forays ashore.

Furthermore, Webasto is also exhibiting the compact Thermo Pro 90 water heater at its booth, including a presentation of the water circuit aboard the boat. With continuous temperature control and high performance, this heater ensures uniform heat distribution and a comfortable feel-good climate—just like you're used to at home. Overall, Webasto offers reliable heating solutions with outputs of up to 35 kW.

Air conditioning units from compact to large: the BlueCool series
For boats with up to three cabins, Webasto is displaying the compact air conditioning unit from the BlueCool S-Series. Its cooling capacity lies between 6,000 and 27,000 BTU/h, depending upon requirements. All models in this range are fitted with a heat pump function for heating.

For larger boats, an air conditioning unit from the BlueCool C-Series would be appropriate. They deliver cooling capacities of between 16,000 and 108,000 BTU/h. These chiller systems utilize a water/glycol mixture for cooling and heating the cabins. This mixture is routed to the cabins through a system of pipes. There, the interior can—depending upon requirements—be specifically cooled or heated using compact fan-type air handlers.

The power supply for the S and C-Series is 230 V alternating current. Furthermore, nothing prevents these units from being used worldwide, because they can be operated with a 50 Hz or 60 Hz supply.

All air conditioning systems in the BlueCool product family are controlled using the MyTouch Display. The control unit, with its intuitive operation, has a color touch screen and simple symbols. Thanks to its compatibility with different commercially available control frames, MyTouch can also be handsomely visually integrated into any boat.

In addition to complete systems for heating and cooling, Webasto also offers an extensive range of accessories for anyone who wants to refit his boat himself.
